Typically, how much time or what percentage of your time do you allocate to user research and understanding your customers’ needs while product discovery phase?
It depends on several parameters such as all new product, or a similar existing product, new market or existing market, domain of the product etc. The answer may vary from person to person and organisation to organisation. I spend about 30-40% during product discovery to validate my assumptions through market research and user research and also validate my understanding using tools like Value Proposition Canvas.
