As a product owner, how do you avoid misallocating resources (money, team and time) on features or products, that no one wants?
I can avoid misallocating resources by a firm decision at the moment when it is clear that a product or feature is not valuable or not feasible. This means that a continuous monitoring process, for example, via metrics or regular user tests, needs to be established. Once the build-measure-learn cycle provides a proof that an idea or a product is unlikely to succeed, the resource allocation needs to stop. I shall also use proper prioritization techniques to the Product Backlog Items (refer the pareto rule here)
