The product owner chooses new features regularly and never picks bug fixes. In the end, the crashes have to be fixed, and the tech debt is growing. Those problems are slowing down testing and development. What would you do in short and in the mid-term?
Short term approach: I shall coach the Product Owner to review the defects and prioritize them as per their severity and criticality in each Sprint.
Mid-term: Having a strong Definition of Done is one option I shall explore with the team.
Also, ask team to experiment automating all possible tests like regression, integration, performance test cases.
