A stakeholder tends to broaden the scope of a user story in retrospect by claiming the Scrum Team did not deliver what was requested. How do you deal with that?
It is the Product Owner’s objective to understand the scope of a feature request in advance clearly. Sneaking in features through the backdoor a typical Scrum anti-pattern that needs to be investigated and addressed.
As a product owner, I will ensure the stakeholder gets a chance to the acceptance criteria before being pulled into a Sprint. Even after it is being pulled into a Sprint, I will inform him the acceptance criteria just to let him know what will be built in the Sprint, this can avoid such situations.
