Product owner role has two shades: inward (within Scrum team) and outward (beyond Scrum team). If the product owner focuses only inward, it will become a spoon feeding. Next-gen product owner is not someone who just does spoon feeding. Instead, allows the team to become self-managing by providing the big picture and the intent so that they will be able to continue without being instructed. This helps the product owner to focus on market, economy, competitor product analysis, strategies, acquiring new regions and customers and so on.
