How do you do release planning?
There are 2 types of release planning possible. Scope driven and Date driven. Scope driven is to decide the release duration (in terms of number of sprints) based on the given high level scope and the story point estimation and taking an average guess velocity. Date driven release planning is based on a fixed time duration such as 3 months. If the sprint duration is 2 weeks then there will be 6 Sprints in 3 months, so by taking a velocity range (least and best) I will identify the features that can be part of the release.
